Abba's Dearly Beloved

…even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.

Psalm 139:12

When winter’s sun’s wanes in strength 
The sky an ever bronzing hue
A montage of gold a sight to behold
And dusk unwraps itself into view

When I witness failing light of day
And the advent of long winters night
Brings to mind the soul’s season of trial 
Let not this herald departing of hope’s sight

Through arduous journey of winter’s season
There remains brighter still this burning flame  
The all sufficient one who holds onto thee
Light of the world into your darkness came

Unashamed he offers you his hand 
For Jesus is your comforter still 
“Come my child remain with me
Walk through this valley we will”

“For certain as my love is for you 
And the coming light of new day
Will be the dawning of new hope 
As winter’s season gives way

“Cometh you will out from winter’s night
Leaning close on me your lover
Whatever Your souls condition 
my love carries you like no other”

When you see the winter sun depart
Know the light of your soul never will
A night of the soul is only for a time
Dawn is coming, it will not be long till
