For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. Jesus as he breathed his last on the cross not only took on himself every wrongful act and sickness, but also redeemed our broken and shame based identity and replaced it with the secure and tender embrace of a loving God who welcomes us as His sons and daughters and whom we can now in intimate affection call out as Jesus did, beloved Abba or beloved Father.
We are therefore God’s or Abba’s dearly beloved.
