When my heart weighs heavy with cares of many kinds
A darkened valley of helpless abandon in which my soul finds
And I am conscious of the glory from which I fall short
Dims the light of grace within by which I was bought
When a lie pierces deep and questions my worthiness in Him
And I am tempted to focus my gaze on a performance I cannot maintain
To strive for a gift that has already been given to win this heart within
This divine acceptance in full measure that has washed me of every shame
Then such weariness gives way as the familiar gentle whisper I hear
Brings me back to where the one who came to save me waits
“What troubles you dear child, why does your heart linger in fear?
Look to me; abide again, in the safe haven of peace my love creates”
“For you are enough my child, there is no doubt, for I have decreed it so
See my hands show your name engraved, you truly belong to me
Upon my shoulders, all thoughts that threaten peace, I invite you to throw
And allow your soul to be quieted again in my loving embrace around thee”
“Do you remember once again who you are in me beloved?
Let garments of fear fall as you enter this intimate presence of mine
Take up the pure mantle and robe I give, made in my own righteous thread
For my son Jesus has settled your question of worthiness for all time”
“‘Beloved and accepted child” on your heart are permanently to be read
Authored by my son’s body broken and blood shed, you have been made forever mine
So come to me dear one, into my presence dare to with unfailing joy tread
Let us walk side by side, my hand in yours, beloved child with your Father divine”
That was brilliant

Thanks Connor! I hope it blessed and encouraged! We all need reminding by our heavenly Father of who we are and who he is.
