Stillness (Poem)

A pebble falls disturbing calm waters current
A rippling cacophony it creates, of sloshing water's torrent
But once again stillness descends chasing disturbance asunder
The waters a million shards of liquid glass a sight to behold and wonder

A quiet holiness descends as still waters to my soul return
A quiet symphony of joy at my Father's presence begins to burn
I embrace the hymn of rest that creation in tandem sings
It calls me to stillness and to my Fathers embrace it brings

A sovereign splendour in nature's quiet praise
Mirrors my own heart as I quieten in his gaze
The words resound and shout to be still and know,
That my beloved Father is above every storm life can throw

He holds me close and into divine hands i release my care
At rest in this divine safe haven, my peace perfected there
No ripple stirs at this moment in the waters of my soul
Truly worthy you are my God, for in your presence i'm made whole
